AskMenon is a structured coaching practice built specifically for senior NRI professionals who are considering a return to India — and for Indian companies that want to hire them. Achyut Menon has 33 years of executive search experience, has placed over 1,000 professionals into leadership roles, and has personally advised returning NRI professionals from the Gulf, Silicon Valley, London, Singapore, and Sydney. He is the only practitioner in India who both places returning NRIs and coaches them through the transition.
Achyut Menon is the Founder and Managing Director of Options Executive Search Private Limited, established in Hyderabad in 1992. He specialises in GCC hiring, senior leadership placements, and NRI career transitions. He is affiliated with NPAworldwide (a 60-country recruiter network), is a SHRM India Top HR Influencer, and publishes the Beyond Borders newsletter with over 10,000 subscribers. He has not read about the India return landscape — he has lived inside it for over three decades.
Every engagement follows the AIM framework — six structured steps across three phases: Assess Opportunities (Steps 1–2), Implement Search (Steps 3–4), and Manage Transitions (Steps 5–6). Sessions are weekly, one hour each, conducted one-on-one via Zoom or Google Meet. Between sessions, you complete specific homework tasks so that each session builds directly on what you have done. The coach does not do the search for you — the role is to ensure you are doing the right things, in the right sequence, in the right way.
A 2-minute diagnostic on the Services page will recommend the right programme based on where you are in your return journey, how active your India network is, and what outcome you need. There are different programmes: two single-session options (60 minutes each), a 4-week engagement (Steps 1–2 and a foundation for 3–4), a 6-week engagement (Steps 1–4), and an 8-week full programme (all six steps). The diagnostic takes the guesswork out of the decision.
Every programme ends with a defined output, not just a set of conversations. By the end of any engagement you will have a positioning statement, a target company list, and a structured approach to the search. The 6-week and 8-week programmes additionally produce interview-ready SOAR stories and an offer evaluation framework. Achyut does not deal in vague encouragement — every session ends with specific homework and a clear next milestone.
